Nickle & Dimers – I was going to Dorit B for about 1 year when my usual "waxer" quit. The last two times I was given a short woman (Maria - I think???) who did a poor job. Not only did she do a poor job but she charged me 2 additional fees without telling me anything about them. I asked for a Bikini in additional to my usual full leg. kimie – Kimie has been my skincare therapist and esthetician for the past 7 years. She has attended to all my issues and I always look and feel better afterwards. She is punctual, professional and efficient and I highly recommend her.
This Spa is nothing compared to others that I have visited so far! – The minute you step into the Dorit Baxter Day Spa you feel a sense of relaxation. The place is very intimate and the aroma it carries calms you down. The front desk greets you with a smile. The service overal is fantastic and you are treated like royalty. My Wife Praises the Place – My wife and I come to New York frequently and she continues to appreciate my gifts of treatments at Dorit Baxter. She likes the informal, friendly atmosphere and the high professional quality of the treatments, especially the facials. My wife has exacting standards, so if she likes a place, I know that it's topnotch.
Extremely disappointing – A group of us went there to treat my friend who is pregnant with a special package, and we all got a treatment as well. First we found the service almost rude (when we had a simple question about treatments, it seemed like it was a pain for them to have to answer and we should have known it all; we didnt hear a "thank you" or "goodbye" when we left), when you would expect nicer in a place where you go to relax. Good Facial – I had went here for spa week. First time I have ever been to this spa. I had Akiko who was very nice and did a great job with my facial. She explained what she was doing and she was very thorough. The changing rooms/locker rooms were small but I like that they have a locker where you hold onto the keys for your belongings. The Best Day Spa in New York City – My day at the spa was a wonderful experience! The Staff all were very friendly, attentive and accommodating.
Worst Facial – Only reason I went is because I got a gift certificate. The products are awful, the facialist is out of the room more than she is in the room. They cut your time, My facial was suppose to be an hour and it was 40 minutes my massage an hour and it was 50 minutes. When I complained to the front desk they could care less. Don't waste your money here.
Absolutely LOVE the Products – Before moving to Washington, I lived in Italy for three years and loving the products so much, I had my sister pick up products from your store to ship to me overseas. That's how much I love them. I would add more but I feel like I can say too much, but I do love your spa and your consultants are the best.
