Not worth the money very bad massage!! – I went to get a massage with my bf and was shocked that the place looks much less significant than the images posted. for the price they charge i expected to have a much better service. the robes we were given had a bad smell. the changing room was tiney and the curtains don't even close properlly. not relaxing at all. and whats worse is the masseuse was tjhe worst part!! i was there to relax her massage was the most painful!! i woke up with the worst pain in my back and legs!! never ... read more
Cheapist and BEST facial I've ever had!! – I LOVED my facial at Dorit Baxter. I found it advertised on a google sidebar ad, I was a little skeptical but I clicked on the link only to find a great variety of options for facials that sounded more appealing and DEFINITELY less expensive than its competators. A great Spa for a great Price! – So, I decided to treat one of my BFFs to a birthday spa experience. I have been spa-hopping for the last couple years...when you live and work in NY...you need a time to relax, unwind and be pampered...she had never been to a spa before and I had never been to Dorit Baxter but I heard good things and so I went with it...and we were BLOWN AWAY...i love it when you step in to the quaint space and greeted by friendly faces along with some lemon water and variety of herbal teas...it is very tranq... read more
Great great massage – Service was good, the relaxation room was pleasant, facilities are ok, but the massage and the salt scrub were both special.
Amazing massage and facial! – My husband got me a gift card for the holidays, which entitled me to a basic facial and massage. Both were fantastic! I especially loved the personalized treatment, and how after, the owner left me with some great samples. I tried a few out, and ended up purchasing the moisturizer and drying cream. Overall a great experience!
Best value for the best facial – I have been going to spas/salons/dermatoligsts for years trying to get a good facial and Dorit Baxter is the best!! The manager is so accomodating and really makes you feel like you are not just any other customer. If you are going for a facial because you have problem skin..i recommend this spa over any in new york. Plus, its cheaper than your standard facial at a fancy spa!
Peaceful and Relaxing – From the moment you walk there is a calming and peaceful atmosphere. The receptionist are friendly and have great personalities. The waiting area is cute and relaxing with fruit, shorebread cookies and the tasty lemon lime water and assortment of hot teas. The spa staff is always on time and they are very professional. I have had European facials, Massage, Sea Salt Body Scrubs, Manicure and Pedicures done there and they were absolutely great every time.
Cleaner face.... – Recesion or no recesion I always manage to scrong up some money to visit the Dorit Baxter Day Spa. It's no longer a luxury but a necessity especially in times like these. Their facials are like no other. The manage to go in and get all those unsightly blackheads without bruising your skin. Alot of spas just steam and exfolliate which is something you can do yourself at home. The professionals at this spa get the job done!
Great place for facial and massage – I love this place; I have been coming to Dorit Baxter for the past 3 years. Even my mom is a huge fan of their European facials. They are very professional and the service is excellent. I always recommend them to my friends.
