If I could give Eyes of Texas zero stars, I would – I've lived in Austin since 1992. I've lived in all parts of town, and dealt with many different management companies/apartment complexes/etc. Eyes of Texas Properties is by far the *worst* management I have ever dealt with. When you actually move in, if there is a problem with the property, it takes weeks or MONTHS to fix. The repair guy they've outsourced maintenance to is really nice, but they are not prompt in calling him, hoping that if they just ignore you, you'll stop... read more

Awful Company, Rude Employees – This was one of the worst leasing experiences I have ever had. The employees are incredibly condescending, rude and act like you are a burden on their time. Not to mention the manager is a complete snob. They show properties on their own time and try to show too many people at the same time. They are not helpful in repairing anything when there is a problem and the property was not in good shape from the get go. Avoid at all costs – When I got the apartment, I had to clean the kitchen and the bathroom. And, when I left, they charged me for the kitchen and floorboards. So, you might as well forget about your deposit. My apartment also had a bunch of electrical problems. Power would shut off whenever I turned my A/C and microwave at the same time. I tried switching on the breaker and electricuted myself. I would not rent from them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone!

EXCEPTIONAL RENTAL HOUSES AND AMAZING MANAGEMENT! – Eyes of Texas Properties is truly one of the best experiences I've had in rental. They met and exceeded all of my expectations. Avoid if you enjoy privacy – This rental agency is annoying! They start showing your property 9 months in advance of the end of your lease and show the house up to 6 times per week. Often they fail to give 24 hours notice of a showing and have come to show our house without warning at all many times, even waking us in the morning a few times. It's ridiculous practice and we won't rent from them again!

Wouldn't recommend them to an enemy – We have had mold - fluffy, white mold - on our floors since about two months after we moved in. It is no doubt caused by the fact that the siding is falling off of our duplex. There is currently a hole in the wall of the master bedroom that has gone unfixed for several months now. I have notified management several times of these problems, once in writing, and to date these problems still exist. Non-responsive, poor management – We have a plumbing problem that has gone unfixed for 3 weeks, and numerous phone calls have gone unanswered. A storm broke a window that they said they were going to fix. That was 5 weeks ago. Just for fun, after we leased the house, we looked up the add on their web site and saw that it listed central AC and a fireplace as key elements of the house. It has neither.
