Great people – They were great the entire 4 years I rented from them in central austin. I had a couple of plumbing issues and they always took care of them. I have referred them to my other graduate student friends who seem to love them also. Good luck finding a better set of people to do your maintence and take care of the property.‎

Honest – they are the best you'll do near campus. I've dealt with three other property management companies, and have spent five years paying pretty close attention to the rest. I (successfully) sued one of their competitors to recover a security deposit. So, yes, I too have a great deal of angry and resentment towards all property management companies, particular the ones around campus the prey on students who'll be too busy to really fight back. And perhaps my experience was an anomaly, but I found Eyes of Texas Properties... read more

TERRIBLE Management Company – I would not recommend leasing from Eyes of Texas Properties. I understand that management companies (especially near campus) are difficult to deal with, but I do not have anything good to say about this company. They put as little as possible effort into maintaining and upkeeping the house that we rented. They actually told their maintenance man that they did not want him to spend too long on one house, so if there was something that needed to be done at the house that would take him awhile- he ... read more

Informed – Preleasing is what the real estate industry has come to in Austin. Future clients begn looking for a place to live 6-8 months ahead of their move in date. It puzzles me that so many people don't understand or comprehend this aspect of leasing. If you lease a property in Central please expect preleasing. EOTP

Eyes of Texas Takes Advantage of Tenants – I signed a 1 year lease with Eyes of Texas and 4 months into the lease they said they were going to start showing my apartment to prospective tenants if I didn't sign a renewal within a few days. If one of the prospects decided to lease my apartment, they would give me 48 hours to decide whether or not to sign a renewal. My lease states that I have 60 days prior to vacating to give them notice, and never mentioned anything about the 48 hour clause. I should not have had to make up m... read more

staggering incompetence at its worst – Unprofessional, irresponsible, disrespectful of tenant rights, RUDE, condescending, negligent, disorganized, dishonest. These are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind when thinking about Eyes of Texas and their approach to business. This has been the worst leasing experience ever. They were totally disorganized from the start, often losing important documents and sometimes trying to claim they "never got our emails". Their communication skills are horrendous, both with their r... read more

Go For It! – I recently rented from Eyes of Texas after reading their reviews on citysearch. I was skeptical, but decided to go for it. They have been nothing but pleasant. They painted the unit and put in new carpet just like they said they would. Go for it!

EYES OF TEXAS RULES! – I was surprised to see bad reviews for Eyes of Texas. I have lived in a property managed by them for more than 5 years and have had a great rental experience. They have responded to my maintenance requests in a timely manner and also are always very pleasant when I drop off rent each month at the office. I would highly recommend them.
