Sorry to hear about the pub closure. When ever we visited Bridlington, we always enjoyed a drink outside on the seating area.
Oh dear, what a distinct disappointment Christmas lunch was at the hotel. Unlike previous visits, the last a few years ago, the dining room had the atmosphere of a very poorly run old folks nursing home dining room. The festive decorations were very few & poor, the lighting & decor was somewhat depressing and whilst I'm not a fan of 'canned' music, a few Christmas carols in the background might have lifted the atmosphere.
