This facility and the staff are top notch. We were visiting Chicago and my daughter became ill and was admitted here for several days. Every single physician and nurse who cared for her were knowledgeable and compassionate. And all the healthy restaurants within the hospital were a great amenity for family members. Very impressed with Northwestern.
They saved my life. The MICU and SICU teams as well as the ENT and ID teams.
This place is so ill equipped to help anyone. Brought a friend to the ER who had a history of kidney stones who was in SEVERE pain (10 out of 10). They refused to believe she had a kidney stone.. Took over 2 hours to get any sort of pain meds... Took 3.5 hours to get ice chips after doc OK'd them and told every doc or nurse when they entered that he did... On top of many other things. And, to top it all off, they later admitted that they thought she had an STD, not a kidney stone yet never ONCE asked her if she was sexually ... read more
I’m so disappointed.. and ashamed as a Registered Nurse to sit with your family and never see a nurse round or even peek in on her patient.. two shifts same type of nursing..no PCAs. Wait I saw dietary and environmental.. saddened deeply. Having a fiery and agitated nurse was never taught in nursing school..
