We made our 6th visit to Esme’s Escape in April to celebrate our anniversary and my husband’s 60th Birthday. Before booking I looked at several other shepherds hut accommodation but found they were more expensive, looked less comfortable and not in such quiet calm settings. Added to the fantastic breakfast offering (which always lasts us two days) and the superb White Horse Pub close by and so many beautiful walks/paths in the area why would you go anywhere else.

This place is a hidden gem! From the wonderfully rustic hottub, to the cosy interior of the shepherds hut, it really feels like a luxury retreat. We’re about to go for our 4th time, and decided to celebrate our first wedding anniversary here given how wonderfully special it is. Highly recommended for a relaxing and romantic break.

We had the most magical stay at Esme’s Escape! The shepherd’s hut was absolutely perfect – it had everything we needed and so many thoughtful little touches that made it feel really special. We were greeted with a delicious cake, and the coffee machine was stocked with plenty of pods, plus there were hot chocolate-making ingredients and marshmallows – such a treat! A fabulous retreat to kick back & unwind. The wood fired hot tub & pizza oven were fantastic, they really add to the experience. All necessities are well catered for, with little touches from the friendly hosts adding to a wonderfully unique & cosy setting. Plenty of scope to explore locally or further afield to the coast, then head back for a dip in that tub, perfect

What a visit. From being greeted by Karen and Simon, to leaving, this is an absolute gem! The site has all you may need for a relaxing stay. The wood fires hot tub was lovely. The wood fired pizza oven gave us the opportunity to cook a cracking curry and there's a great 'Inside/ outside area, if the weather isn't great. The cheeky chiminea is lovely also.
