Excellent hidden gem. This place has benefitted from extensive investment and it is a lovely place at the foot of Eskdale valley in the tiny hamlet of Boot. You could get the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway to the terminal station of Dalegarth and walk the ten minutes up the the mill. You pass over the quaint packhorse bridge and enter the reception where the very welcoming mill manager explains what is available including for the kids. Very interesting if you like that kind of thing
Very disappointed by the very rude member of staff . The lady was very abrupt and rude ! Would not visit again due to the staff . Such a shame as a beautiful place to visit and gorgeous surroundings.
