I will be back! – Took a friend to Ivys for his birthday. It was my first time to go, although he is a regular. LOVED it. We went on a Monday night and had the surf and turf. My steak was cooked perfectly, and you receive a lot of food for a minimal price. I had always been a little leary of going there, due to smoking in the bar, but it was not problem at all. Our waiter was very attentive, but not overly so. We are recommending this place to friends and will be going back.
Customer Service and food quality... both GONE – ok.. i don't bitch often... so please bear with me for minute...while i prove the old phase that a happy customer tells 2-3 and an unhappy one tells 10 or more.. only I am telling 1065 + those that read the review on CitySearch I Had dinner at English ivy’s last night.. not their fault that I left my charge card and No I was not drinking!. Love the Place – I am a field service engineer that spends a lot of time on the road, traveling to install our equipment, train customers in it's use, and repair it when it breaks. I have been visiting Indianapolis off and on for about half a decade now and wouldn't dream of making the trip with out eating at English ivy's. Our perspective... – After reading recent posts and reposts, we feel it would be beneficial to present English Ivy’s side of the story without name calling or misquotes. We safeguard personal property accidently left by a customer until the owner claims the item. When we blindly start trying to contact a person who has left something behind, we run the very real risk of violating someone’s privacy as we have no control over who may intercept the communication or may inadvertently become privy to a message left on email, voic... read more
Used to be exceptional – I frequently ate at the Ivy last summer and was overall very pleased with everything the restaurant had to offer, however, things seem to have gone durastically downhill since. I recently had my last meal at this establishment, and almost quite literally. I first ordered the antipasta salad during my lunchbreak, a dish somewhere under $10, and something I had never ordered before. Great place to eat – I eat at Ivey's twice a week and have never had bad food there. The new owners are great. Very good atmosphere too. I highly recommend this place. Top notch.
Best Pub In Town – I love this place. The food is good. The atmosphere is comfortable. The bartenders are great. Totally great place to hang out with friends or meet new ones.
Great Place! – I've been going to Ivy's for a long time and have always enjoyed it. Recently, it was sold to a couple from Seattle, John & Chuck, and they're teriffic. The food is getting better and better, the servers are very friendly and so are the bartenders. There's no place like that's better that I know of.
Only second to OUR CUSTOMERS! – As the owner of English Ivy's, i would never comment under the review sections in regards to the restaurant. However, i feel obligated to state the truth if someone blatantly lies in an attempt to hurt the restaurants image. English Ivy's has grown over the pasts 8 years into one of the nicest neighborhood restaurant/bars that downtown Indy has ever seen.
