Couldn't tell, drove 200 miles round trip, to take my grandson that had wrote a paper on it and we were turned away...
This place was gorgeous...definitely get there early...saw where they had to turn people away.
I have been trying to call and make reservations for 3 days and the line is always busy. We woke up early to get into the park and it's already closed.
Great SNA. Had a wonderful time. Forecasted rain held the crowd down! We got in quickly, made our way to the top of the Summit before 11 am. Hiked the Loop Trail with the dog. So many interesting formations and veins of different minerals. The "quartz field" at the back of the loop took me by surprise. Lots of evidence that many animals inhabit the park, even though they choose to stay hidden during the day. Five thumbs up!

If you don't have the patience waiting to get in the gate I suggest be there a bit earlier. You pay for a day, or buy yourself a year pass much easier. This place is great for family and if your just running/hike/camp or as for pay i always come here to trained.
It's like a playground for adults! I wish I could've spent more time there than I did, but I love that there's more to do than just climb one hill! My friends and I climbed Enchanted Rock and then two of the other neighboring hills before taking a trail back to the parking lot. It's a great excursion to pair with a visit to Fredericksburg. Highly recommend!
Went to the park on Monday 3-6-17 for my children's spring break, arrived at 7:40 am anticipating long lines and we were the second car to arrive. Had a great time without any wait!
If you can't make it to the park by 930-945am the park can reach maximum capacity and they close gates until 1pm. The lines are usually very long to get back in and there's no guarantee you'll enter at that time. Beautiful area, great hiking trails and friendly park staff! Happy trails :)
