I don't know where to begin; but all I can say is that my family and I really enjoyed the adventure. It was our first visit and it was captivating. We took so many pictures because there wasn't one place that you stood, that wasn't a picture moment. Looking forward to returning.
Only giving this one star for logistics...we know the park is amazing, but there has to be a better way for TPWD to handle crowds trying to enter the park. First of all, if you are coming from Fredericksburg along 965, you will have to go to the back of the line since they only allow entrance from the eastbound lanes. Best bet is to take 16 from Fredericksburg and then take 965. There is spotty cell service along 965, so the updates that are posted on FB and Twitter are not always accessible. "The park is closed the moose outside should have told ya...."
My family and I love Enchanted Rock. The fact that this beautiful place gets so many visitors/year... Should indicate that this park needs for someone to look at the efficiency of the lines of endless vehicles w/children and adults having to wait for hours only to find out that they may or not be lucky enough to get a number to come back later...all the while having to go potty!!...and Fredericksburg is 20 LONG minutes away... Waited long, traveled from far distance to be told"PARK CLOSED FOR THE DAY" not even 10A.M So can't rate it!
Beautiful place. If you are going during Spring Break get there early. Park fills up fast.
We have been 3 times and just love this place! The views and hiking are awesome!!
It was a MAJOR waste of time. I will never waste my family's time or go again that is the most dumbest place in the state of Texas
The park it self was nice, but getting in.....IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!! They were causing traffic jams by making people turn around and get TO THE END OF THE LOOONNNNGGGG LINE just for being TWO MINUTES EARLY!!!!!! They also kept telling people to drive up and down the road till it was time to get in. They need to figure out a better system and have better customer service!!!!
