Terrible services on paying the bills. I had a surgery last year. Then, this year I get the bill from the hospital this February. I contacted Surgery plus right away about my billing issues. I even contacted the hospital and gave them the insurance provider's information. I kept in contact ever since I have received the hospital bill. One Word "INCOMPETENT" Last year 6/18/20 I had a TKR on my Right after jumping through all the hoops that Surgery Plus required me do to before scheduling my Surgery. The Doctor that they had review my case was from *************** and suggested I get both my Knees replaced at the same time to save money and recovery time. Surgery experience good. Transparency terrible. Expecting reward in 120 days now told in September I have to wait till beginning of next year because of health plan I have. Are you really telling me you didn't know my plan till now. I won't use or recommend to anyone.
Surgery Plus / Employer Direct is horrible. Because they failed to paid bills for my approved surgery, I am in collections. I notified them of this bill 4 months ago and keep getting promises they will pay, but they have failed to pay after many times saying they are going to do their job. I have never been in collections before and I truly regret using Surgery Plus. I have left so many messages and they also are very poor at customer service / replying. I see they have a BBB rating of D+. They deserve an F-

I work in the medical field and through my husbands insurance we were offered the benefit of Surgery Plus. My husband needed triple hernia repair and we had already been to a surgeon when we found out about this benefit. We tried to put off his surgery in order to go to a doctor in their network, but they would only send me the name of 3 doctors instead of a list of all the doctors in their network in my area. Excellent customer service; however the time it takes to get surgery scheduled is unbelievable! It would be a wonderful benefit if you could actually use it. I needed to have surgery to remove my left radial head after a severe break. After waiting for over 45 days without any scheduled surgery date, I finally gave up. My heart ached for the Customer Care Advocate at Surgery Plus who was doing everything in her power to get the surgery scheduled.
