We enjoyed our stay, the staff were lovely, we enjoyed the food and it was reasonably priced. The view was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. However, we felt that the hotel was a bit tired, the gym was well equipped but we didn't use the pool, and we wouldn't recommend the jacuzzi which is poorly maintained, many of the jets are not working andthe area around it needs a good scrub and sterilisation.
Lovely stay and rooms are great for the price. The food was great from the evening menu. The breakfast service was amazing but the food was let down with a little lack of attention. The field mushrooms had not been peeled prior to cooking and the eggs were very raw around the yolks on both of our breakfasts. I was given 2 keys one to the room and one to the front door that was locked at 10pm however when I tried to get back in after collecting something from my car at 11pm the key for the front door was the exact same key as... read more
This lovely small hotel nestled in Cumbria is an absolute gem. The rooms were large, very clean with great bathrooms. The restaurant served great food and the staff were probably some of the friendliest Ive encountered. Didn't get chance to sue the spa, but I have no doubt it reflects the rest of the hotel and its amenities. We will be back!
Just held our wedding weekend here and had the most amazing time rooms were stunning and staff without doubt the best I’ve ever come across nothing is too much. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone
