An amazing Hotel, from the moment we walked through the door. A friendly greeting and the most amazing smell from the kitchen, roast lamb which we had that evening. The room was excellent the bed was so comfy it was like sleeping in a cloud, a nice touch with the slippers and biscuits. We were shown around and it just wowed us, some absolutely stunning rooms and furniture. Went there for a birthday celebration. The decor and ambiance is absolutely lovely. The staff were very attentive. I was so looking forward to the food and then the starters came out and what a disappointment. We had the chargrilled brie... I expected it to be all soft and gooie. What an amazing find! We came here for a birthday meal for our partners and it was incredible! The atmosphere was perfect, a small intimate room with not too many tables but alive with chatter and happy customers! The decor was very cool! We each had a main meal and a drink and it came to a very comfortable £106 for 4 of us which was more than reasonable. What a joy to experience, true 5 star experience in the heart of beautiful Elan Valley. The owners and staff are vibrant and attentive, food is best anywhere in Mid Wales. Total refurbishment is to a very high standard, around every turn and corner is another surprise to make the whole experience special. Nothing is too my trouble for Rachel & Lyn.
