I do not know what the hype is about. They use high-grade tequila to make margaritas, but they are not that great. I cannot recommend anything on the menu.
I do not understand the hype for this place. I had the enchilladas and was not impressed. I thought the food quality added to the parking situation and the average wait were not worth it.
Poor Service Revising my review - when I came back for a second visit, the food was mediocre (too greasy) and the service was very slow. On top of all this, they don't take the Pasadena.com card anymore. Thumbs down. (Former review: Great food and the service is pretty good too. The restaurant is very loud and it is difficult to chat. Can the Service and the Food Be Any Worse? My goodness. How can this be? An extremely popular restuarant for sure, but with food and service that's so awful you wonder why so many people are crowding into the lobby to wait for a table. The worst thing is the salsa -- which ought to be a slam-dunk for any good Mexican restaurant. It tastes like a blander form of ketchup with a little cilantro mixed in. bad food , too expensive, good drinks though.. The food took FOREVER to get to our table, we were looking for our waitress for al least 30 minutes, when we told the manager at least he apologized and someone else brought the food, the guacamole was the only good thing about the food, everything else was terrible. the put like two pounds of cheese on every dish, the rice was cold and didnt taste fresh, overall food and service were plain bad.
