Wonderful hotel and hosts were faultless great breakfast and room we were in dovecote room which is a converted stable adjacent to main hotel comfy room but door needs attention as draughty under the door due to gap otherwise perfect !!
We stayed at the hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. John and Lisa are wonderful hosts, our room was beautiful and breakfast delicious. They also gave us an anniversary card, which was a lovely touch. Lisa had recommended some local restaurants too, which was a great help, and really made our stay feel special. Village Location is superb with a very short walk to the castle. Thank you so much ☺️
A lovely birthday stay. Great, helpful staff. Room was spotless, would defiantly return. If being fussy, maybe little bit of TLC needed on a new matress but maybe that’s me.
Loved it. Couldn't fault it in any way. Historic hotel, great service, fantastic breakfast and a lovely room, all in an amazing location, a few yards from the castle.
stayed the night in a standard double room which was very comfortable and clean. Dinner was extremely good, beautifully tender lamb and perfectly cooked veg. Breakfast was great and the hosts extremely attentive. literally a stones throw from the castle and in the middle of the historic high street.
