This is preposterous! From the words of a supervisor, their payment system doesnt talk to their disconnection system. I received a disconnection notice and immediately made a payment. My service was disconnected, but duke power had two pending transactions from me- $669 each. Despite this, my power was off. I had to make another payment despite the pending payments I offered to send proof ofagain Duke Power said nope no payment submitted. Incompetence in addresses outage 24 hours without power and Duke hasnt even assigned a crew. Hottest day of the year and no priority

I had accidently paid what was a "Credit Amount" to Duke Energy of $******. Their credit statements look almost EXACTLY like a ****! Within minutes I realized my mistake so I called them back and they told me they would not refund my money to my account. Now I have a credit of $1,215.80. The fir CS rep told me I was going to get a refund in 5-7 days. The next day I got a "Thank you for your payment." Indianas prices went up again. In April my **** was only $77 and due on the first of the month. Because of rent being due at the first of the month I asked them to switch to the middle. In this month of May Im only 16 days in and my **** is already $113. They told me there was an increase in ******* and if this is the case, then that means that my **** will be almost $250 for the month and I havent even used the air that is completely ridiculous. We have outages that are reported at 7am but was not even starting to be addressed until 10 minutes before the supposed repair time of 1pm. Now it is extended until 3pm. This outage affects over **** people. Yet no one it even looking into it until 6 hours after it was reported. If you miss a payment they immediately cut off power but if you have a problem it takes many hours for them to resolve it or even begin to resolve it.

GOOD MORNING.. I AM WRITING BC I DON'T KNOW WHAT DUKE ENERGY IS DOING OR HOW THEY COMING UP WITH THESE PRICES..BUT THIS HAS TO BE ILLEGAL. SO I WAS IN A INSTALLMENT PLAN FOR $559 LAST YEAR (APRIL 2021). I WAS TO PAY $42 MORE THAN MY **** TO GO TOWARDS BAL. IN FEB. 2022 I RECEIVED A **** FOR $1,426.39. IT WAS PASSED DUE BAL AND CURRENT BALANCE. ON MARCH 16, 2022 I PAID ********, THEN ON 4/14/22 I PD $467.16, WHICH LEFT A BAL OF $161.72 WHICH WAS DUE ON 5/20/22. My power **** has doubled and tripled the last few months. I have talked to Duke Power 3 times and they tell me my meter pings o.k. The said it was something in my house. I spent almost $400.00 getting my water heater, heat pump, and well pump checked out. They found nothing wrong with it.. Duke Power still will not come check my meter. They insist they can check ever thing from their office.I know there is a problem. How can I get Duke Power to check this and resolve the problem?*****

Good Morning, **** Im emailing you because. Im very upset with the service with duke energy. Every month my **** is high is ever. Not sure how they coming up with these Calculations. But I dont care how much lights, nobody use in a house or apartment. They shouldnt be getting a **** for $300 or $400 in a one month period time frame. My **** was literally, $320 for 1 month. I live in an apartment my electric is over $300 - I dont understand how, especially when my *************************** is wildly cheaper! With major appliances? All of my neighbors.Ive called but, no answers. Yet.
