The Hotel Manager is excellent, as is the Barman. The room was large and had its own parking space, it was super for a family. The decor was a little tired but you can see the investment sneaking in slowly. Breakfast cooked to order was delicious, the buffet wasn't great and lacked quality produce one would expect. The location is good for the south of Skye, no view from the Master Suite though.
What a wonderful hotel discovery on the Isle of Skye. We traveled the entire island and started the journey by taking the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale (southeast Skye). The ferry ride was a delight and the crew at the Armadale station took great care of us. A short 15 min walk away is the Armadale Castle & Gardens which I recommend for getting your land legs back. Stopped in for 3-course dinner & drinks. Food and service were impeccable, left nothing for want. And then after our dinner, we were treated to a fireside talk by an isle of skye author who spoke to us about the lore of the lands. It was magic.
Il posto è anche carino e abbastanza curato e accogliente ma non vale assolutamente neanche la metà degli 800 euro a notte che ci sono stati richiesti per il pernottamento con prima colazione di media qualità e assortimento. Abbiamo dormito in una camera piccola dove il letto matrimoniale e la branda da campo con le molle rotte stavano a malapena. Poco o nessuno spazio per aprire i bagagli.
