Four of us arranged a three-night stay at a lodge on Skye, hoping to tick off a couple of Munros during our visit. Booking for early October is always a bit of a gamble weather-wise, and our initial optimism faded as forecasts began warning of gales and heavy rain in the days beforehand. Beautiful lodges in lovely grounds first time hopefully will be back again
Zeer goed verzorgde Lodge op een kwartiertje rijden van de brug naar Skye. Daarmee ligt het wat buiten de drukte van Skye en is desondanks een goede uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen. Huisje is ruim opgezet met fraaie tuin en terras. Volledig uitgerust. Heerlijke douche:) Groene en stille omgeving, je hoort alleen het ruisen van de beek! Wifi is (zoals op veel plekken in Schotland) traag. De bedden zijn naar onze smaak (veel) te zacht, dat is het enige minpunt.
Posto tranquillo in collina molto vicino a Plockton. Gli chalet sono spaziosi, puliti e ben arredati con tutto il necessario che può servire durante una vacanza anche di lunga durata. Interni ed esterni molto curati. È da migliorare il segnale internet. La struttura è dotata di parcheggi.
Die Lodges waren für uns ein idealer Startpunkt für unsere Skye Touren. Innerhalb von ca. 2-3 Stunden ist jeder Punkt auf Skye zu erreichen und in den gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichteten Lodges kann man wunderbar entspannen. Die Lodges Rhum ist zudem Rolligerecht mit Rampe. Es gibt einen kleinen Spielplatz, eine Wäschehaus zum Waschen und Mittwochs kommt der Fischwagen. Beim Einzug waren Tee und Kaffee vor Ort, desweiteren bietet die Lodges eine Tassimo Maschine.
