I ve been under her care for over 3 years now and feel great! I suffer from bipolar and was misdiagnosed with depression going in and out of hospitals and on 7 different medications. She carefully listened and started me on the right medications, explained my diagnosis to me and referred me to appropriate counseling as well. I feel so much better, knowledgeable and normal now. No longer feel stigmatized. It’s good to have a doctor like her!!
I started seeing her back in 2015. I moved to Summerlin two years ago and it is very difficult for me to see her but I do because there is no other doctor I trust. We have developed a great relationship and I really like that she treats me as a friend more than just a patient.

I could nt be more pleased with my first visit with Dr Zafar. She listened and answered all my questions and allowed me to participate in treatment planning which I had never experienced before from any of my previous psychiatrists. I had an informative and engaging session and felt really good and optimistic. I know I m in good hands. Would recommend her to anyone who is looking for the best care in town.
Im shocked by the negative reviews. I normally don’t even write reviews but I had such a wonderful experience with her that I wanted to share to others. Because of my husband’s job, we relocate often. In the past 10 years I have lived in 6 different cities and been to a psychiatrist in each. Dr. Z is hands down the best psychiatrist I’ve had, and I really do not want to move again just so I don’t lose her!
There isn’t anyone better! She cares about all her patients and takes the time to listen to all my concerns
She is an excellent doctor and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care.
prescribed a medication which was contraindicated for my medical condition, did not get inurance authorization for the medication which resulted in a delay over 10 days to get the med (I had to pay cash to get it) does not return calls, after just 2 sessions I quit her and changed doctors she doesnt listen to me at all
I saw this doctor for about a 1yr when we finally found a maintenance medication that was working. I continued with that medication till I realized it had stopped working after about 1yr. During one of my mental breakdowns, I contacted the office to make an appointment knowing I was in a very bad place. They said since I had not seen her in a year that I was now considered a new patient and she is "not willingly to take you at this time." Turning down a patient should be illegal with Psychiatry.
