Our son is a patient of Ryan Ratheal’s. So, it was shocking to learn that without prior notice, he could no longer see him when we showed up for his September appointment. We asked for Ryan's information so he could continue care, but they refused, stating Ryan just left and never returned, yet were told that this was not considered patient abandonment. Rude and self-centered. Other's stated they had lots of hoops to jump through, and this is true. What's more, they make you feel bad for seeking care. Even worse is the office staff who were not only repeatedly rude over the phone, but constantly messing up my prescription. Incompetent. I have no positive things to say.

The hoops you have to jump through in order to get refills on prescribed medication that causes withdrawals when you run out, is not acceptable. And, unfortunately has proven to be more frequent than anything I’ve ever experienced. I liked my sessions with Dr. Zufar, but will need to change physicians based on the inability to be consistent with medication. And, medication management is extremely important. (No controlled substances) The staff could benefit from professional training.

Horribly unprofessional. Absolutely unreal. Called my insurance company who recommended Dr. Zafar. Made an appt and jumped through their hoops (fill out paperwork in advance, provide credit card info.), and waited SIX WEEKS for the appointment. The office sent me a reminder June 21. I just arrived and, while in the waiting room, was told my appointment was canceled because she isn't seeing new patients. What??? So unprofessional! So unethical! I never write reviews because I’d like to think “everybody is allowed a bad day” but i am so disappointed in the care received and I went there for 6 months (so I really gave it a shot). First visit was great. Subsequent visits…sub par. I should not have to be constantly calling or emailing for simple things like medication refills or appt times. Last year I nor the pharmacy could get a hold of her for my sleeping medication (not a controlled med btw) and could not sleep for 1 week (max 1-2hrs a night) which resulted in an e... read more

She has been treating my mother for 6 years now and is superb! She spends a lot of time with her patients and really gets to know them.

I have been working with Dr. Zafar for the last year and she is absolutely amazing. She has taken the time to listen to me and actually gives helpful feedback. She has helped me so much and I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a psychiatrist.

Dr. Zafar is very knowledgeable in managing my medications and my emotional health. She is always professional. If I ask a question outside her expertise (for example my blood pressure medication) she is clear that I need to contact my Cardiologist. She is also very kind and understanding of the difficulties we are all dealing with from COVID. She is the most excellent Psychiatrist and physician I have every worked with. I am so grateful for her ability to improve my mental health!
