His staff is all about the money, not helpful at all. I wen to him for a pain on my lower back and he did not diagnosed me at all. 6 months after, my trainer just told me what I have and looking now for another specialist to help me out cause BONVALLET DIDN'T diagnose me with coccydynia which is what I have. WORST DOCTOR EVER & if you want to see another doc from Spine Surgery Associates they won't let you... :O( WORST PRACTICE EVER. DON'T GO THERE & do your search!
Very nice when you talk to him, but the wait may be long, even for a follow up.
Work comp.The whole staff was more than helpful.Dr Bonnvallet didn't really have options on my procedure due to being sent to two other doctors before I was finally sent to him.I can now walk upright with minimal pain.My only wish is that I was sent to him first before I developed nerve damage that still has not healed.
A couple of the post above are so very true when they speak of Dr. (which he doesn't deserve that title) TOD BONVALLET. He is RUDE, ARROGANT, HATEFUL, and everything AWFUL! All the things that he shouldn't be especially messing with an individuals spine!!!! He's in his own little box of getting himself $$$$$$ and doesn't see the patient as a person he sees them as $$$$. Dr. Bonvallet performed a fusion at L5/S1 for me 10 years ago and I have nothing but praises for him in that regard. I was back to within 90% of being normal afterwards. He is very thorough and very knowledgeable. I am getting ready to undergo a cervical fusion and I am proud to say that Dr. Bonvallet will be performing that surgery as well. I have been seeing this doctor for about 6 months. He has helped me explore my options for dealing with pain, starting with the least invasive. He has not pushed me towards surgery but only laid it out as one of many options. He has referred me for physical therapy which I did for over 6 months, he prescribed 2 rounds of steroids to help reduce inflammation and ultimately I had an epidural in my disc. These have all helped but not to the degree that I want so I am now opting for surgery (cervical area). I have disc problems ... read more
He may be very knowledgeable, but he and his staff are rude and inpatient. He is only interested in the patient if he can "fix" them with surgery. While his patient waits 1.5-2 hours to see him after the scheduled appointment time, he then is unwilling to answer questions or spend time. If insurance denies surgery, he tells you it is your problem and moves on to the patient whom insurance approves. this doctor and i use that because i cant use what i would like to say about him.. bad he told me there was not a thing wrong just my age ..my mri showed i had a punch nerve he did not even address it... would go to a witch doctor befor going to him again....
