My back problems had been with me of many years. I had seen two doctors prior to DR. Zannikos. One wanted to fuse my entire spine and the other wanted nothing to do with me. I had almost given up until I talked to DR, Zannikos. He looked at my x-rays and said matter of factly 'I can fix this. That he did. His bed side manner is awesome.
Dr. Zannikos did my back surgery in February after I was referred by Dr. Sullivan. Both Doctors are amazing. I was very nervous about having surgery. Dr. Zannikos talk to me and calmed me down and made me feel confident that his procedure would make me pain-free. One week after my procedure I was back to work. After a month I have no pain I feel like I did five years ago. I can never thank him enough for doing my surgery and get me back on the right foot or should I say back on both feet.
Previously had sent in a review on Dr. Zannikos and erroneously checked off the first star instead of the last (excellent) star. I find Dr. Zannikos a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. He took the time to explain the whole procedure of my, then, upcoming spinal surgery...The same explanations and attentiveness were greatly appreciated during my follow-up appointments.
From the moment I met Dr. Zannikos I knew he would be the surgeon who would operate on me. He greeted me with a warm, welcoming smile and made me feel like I was his only patient. He answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns with patience. A couple of months ago he performed major spinal surgery on me, and I am a new woman! Mine was not a routine surgery because of deterioration of my spine and back but he was able to give me a "new" back. I actually refer to him as my hero!
Great communication before and after surgery. Very approachable and explains things well. Highly recommend.
