Very thorough and professional. Explained process and diagnosis. Clearly cared about condition and provided very specific direction as to what to watch out for. Reassured me that if I noticed anything of concern, that I was to contact his office immediately (weekends or nights included) and he would quickly respond. My son was referred to Dr Rouse for an initial visit and on the FIRST visit, Dr Rouse told my young adult son that he has tears in both eyes but was worse in one and that he needed a laser procedure to repair them. He scheduled my son a follow up appointment to check the progres from the procedure and to do the right eye. Since that procedure my son’s left eye is getting progressively worse! Was there about potential retinal damage. Very rude from the get go. Very dismissive, refused to stop when I was in severe pain. Yelled when he was upset. Absolutely do not recommend this man to anyone.
Dr. Rouse came off as none compassionate. My mother had a visit with him today. As a first time patient, he spoke with her with a loud controlling voice. I almost gave him some choice words that would have been unpleasant to hear. My mother will not be visiting this doctor again. I thought it would be a pleasure to have a new doctor that could help with the current eye problems, but Oh! Boy was I wrong. Someone needs to hit him with some Love and compassion treatments. He had no compassion, and starting shouting. His assistant dropped my eyeglasses on the floor.
He is as warm, caring and compassionate as a stone wall. His exam was harsh along with his tone of voice. I will never set foot in his office again. Giving him 1 star is more than he deserves.
I’ve seen Dr Rouse for multiple eye problems including a detached retina. I always feel that he is very smart, up to date with eye care practice procedures, and I would definitely recommend him!
Dr. Rouse saved my eyesight when a histoplasmosis spot on my retina started bleeding. He has taken wonderful care of my eyes in the 10 years since then. He's honest and answers all my questions. He doesn't sit and hold your hand - he has too many people to see but he's always there when I need him. I wouldn't go to anyone else.
I definitely would not recommend this man to anyone. Your eye sight is so important. I do not call someone like him a doctor. I call this person a maniac nut, posing as a doctor. He will injure first time patients who have no idea he is crazy. He has a great profile online, but if you go there, you might be terrorized and injured. He shined the bright light into one of my eyes for 30 minutes and blinded me. I have had eye pain since I saw him, which I did not have before I went there.
