Dr. Nelson is the best! I was at the Bascom Palmer Hospital and they simply told me after several exams by Dr. Wellik who claims to be an eminence, that my cloudy vision were not due to cataracts and that she did not operate because it did not guarantee my vision, a big mistake that made me lose 2 years of being able to recover my vision in my right eye. I had cataracts removed from both eyes this fall. Dr. Preschel and his staff helped me understand the procedures in advance and feel at ease going into this. Everyone involved was helpful and respectful. My now excellent eyesight has made my work, my hobbies, and even driving easier to enjoy.

The worse doctor in South Florida!When my grandma started having eye problems, everyone said to go to Dr. Preschel because he was one of the best.I have never met the most unprofessional, uncaring, and disorganized "doctor" in my life.My grandma has an eye condition where it brings intense pain and redness on both eyes.When she started going to Dr. Preschel, he just sent her to go get exams and when she would come back with the exams, he didnt have a clue what she had and would give her a high dosage of steriods for her eye.... read more
Was there for over an hour and half and did not get seen! Ending up walking out! Terrible service! Just got shuffled from room to room to wait and never saw them even clean them! Why have an appt time if you still have to wait over 90 mins!
I have worked in the surgery center for over 20 years, 16 of them working with Dr. Preschel, as well as other ophthalmologist. Dr. Preschel was the professional I chose for my moms cataract surgery. Not only is he a good surgeon but he listens and cares for each individual patient. He does the right thing for his patients and treats them as if they are his family. My 83 years mom had eye surgery with him. This doctor is amazing. So professional and a very true care giver. The staff is also amazing. Please consider this eye Doctor for your treatment. Dr. Preschel is a true professional.
Made an appointment for may parents which are 91 and 84 years old more than one month ago! Just to move the these elderly persons to Pembroke Pines is an issue one has Dialisis 3 times a week and the other 91 years old ... Today the day of the appointment we were called at 8.45am to reconfirm the appointment and also we were asked about insurance we are self pay. 45 minutes after we were called once again to tell us that the appointment had been cancelled! With no viable reschedule in sight!!!

Ms. Mishaan, First of all I am very sorry about what happened. I have investigated this incident with my office manager and the appointment had to be cancelled due to a personal emergency of mine. My office manager states that she offered for us to see your parents at an earlier time that same day, and she also offered alternative dates, but none of these worked for you. I will be more than happy to see your parents at a time that is convenient to you if you still desire so.
