Very professional and friendly. When there, I feel like I'm in my neighbor's living room instead of a dentist's office. About 2 years ago I went in with jaw pain and after a couple of x-rays was referred to a wonderful oral surgeon who removed my wisdom teeth. I returned last week for my initial consultation and for a cleaning yesterday. No pain, low cost, paid there (good so I don't forget), wonderful staff. I can't say enough about how happy I am to have been directed to Dr. McCarthy's office.
I've been going to Dr. McCarthy since as far back as I can remember. I never can remember a time where I've ever had a "fear of going to the dentist", because he's been so great. He's great with kids....I mean I am 23 now and I've been seeing him my whole life! My nephew is also very fond of him and is excited to lose his first tooth. I have never had a dentist that I trust more than Dr. McCarthy and his staff. I won't even consider seeing another dentist while I'm up in Chicago, because I would much rather take a special trip home to St. Louis just for a checkup!
My family and I have been going to Mark for a long time, now. I consider Mark and his staff among the best and most professional in the business. Not only is every process explained, you are also put at ease by the options available. I will continue to use Mark and his services for as long as he is in the business. I will continue to refer family and friends to his excellent service.
My wife and I both see Dr. McCarthy and are very pleased. Dr. McCarthy takes his time with each patient and explains the complete process. He not only takes care of you today, but he helps let you know the things you need to be considering in the future. His staff is wonderful. I really cannot imagine why anyone would go anywhere else in the area.
In addition to biannual checkups I have had multiple crowns and root canal procedures completed by Dr. McCarthy. All have been successful with no problems. He has accurately diagnosed my dental problems and I appreciate his method of offering several solutions of varying cost from which I can make a choice. He once came in on a major holiday to perform an emergency root canal when I was in extreme pain. Dr. McCarthy has been my husband and my dentist for over ten years. When we moved to St. Louis we received a referral from a friend and decided to select him as our dentist. The first visit was unlike any other I recall. He did a full exam which included dental history, counting teeth, x-rays, everything. After putting off finding a dentist in St. Louis for two years, always relying on trips back to my home state of Texas, I finally had to find myself one due to a horrible toothache I'd been having. Dr. McCarthy's staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they were able to get me in within 24 hours of my call. When the Dr. greeted me we discussed my history as well as my current problem. The staff is great and very friendly. Dr. McCarthy is great to work with and is very thorough in his exams and in keeping things up to date I'd highly recommend him. The only thing is that I have to file my own paperwork for insurance, but it has never been a problem.
