Dr. McCarthy is a great dentist! He isn't in my network but it's worth it to me to pay for the dental work and get reimbursed by my insurance. He and his staff are extremely friendly and caring. They really make me feel comfortable. I still remember my first visit to his office and he and his staff explained everything they were doing and why. I had never had a dentist do that before. He's terriffic and I highly recommend him!
I met Mark McCarthy when he practiced with Hummel and I had braces put on over 25 yrs ago. My husband and I followed his path to the office in Warson, then on to present location in Kirkwood . Our children of teen age years have been his patients since they began dentist visits. Although I have had great experiences with past dentists, I have never been so welcomed as a new patient in my life. Dr. McCarthy (or Mark as he prefers to be called) was very thorough when inquiring about my health and purpose for the visit. I started going to Dr McCarthy when I was 12 years old and I'm still going to him today at age 35. Every category of Dr McCarthy's office is top rate, but what stands out most to me is the chair-side manner of the entire staff. It is such a relaxing, easy-going environment whether you're just getting a cleaning or getting a tooth filled. I always refer people to Dr McCarthy who have anxiety about going to the dentist.
I work in the same building as Dr. McCarthy, so I have only known him for the 6+ months I have worked here. In that short amount of time I have come to find out that Dr. McCarthy and his staff are amazing! They are always there and willing to help. Dr. McCarthy is a great dentist! He is funny, friendly, caring, and most of all an excellent dentist. He's the only dentist I've ever had that, in addition to caring for my teeth, checks the health of my mouth every time I visit. Mark has done fillings, crowns and bonding on a front tooth, all without pain and with excellent results. Mark and his office staff are exactly what I want in my dentist, and I have been very happy since finding my way to his office. The care is first rate, deeply competent and up-to-the minute in technology and procedures, and Mark is completely honest with me about my dental situation and the possible outcomes. Mark and his staff are the greatest. They are all quite professional, fun to be around, and really put me at ease in the dentist chair. Mark has come into the office several times on his days off for emergencies. I don't know of anyone else who would do that. I give the entire staff my highest marks. Thanks to all of you!!!
