A very personable doctor; unfortunately bedside manner is not as important as the outcome, which was a disaster for me; I was told by several specialists over the last two years that the fusion surgery had failed and my back is as bad as always.
Dr. Mo is a most excellent physician. I have scoliosis and he operated on my in January 2020 with the placement of rods, pinnings, and multi-level fusions. I had had previous surgery for the same condition in 2013 by Dr. William Laureman who also did a great job but has since passed away. Dr. Mo found that some screws had come loose from that previous surgery and that some of my previous fusions needed to be revised. He made these corrections with this latest surgery. Doctor Mo is the best spine Doctor in the world you can to find any one better. He has unlimited experience compassion caring warm and very understanding human being. I have taken both of my daughters to see him after seeing other Doctors in the Metro area no one of them came even close to Doctor Mo diagnoses and treatment plan. Doctor Mo is there to cure people. Excellent care in everyway from the beginning of the case evaluation and consultation, to the actual surgery, and follow-up. My specific surgery was a severe spinal stenosis on L4-L5, S-1 vertebrae. The compressed nerves were beginning to impair the use of my legs. The surgery was performed so well by Dr. Mo that I was able to walk just hours after surgery. Dr. Mo literally saved my life. I was brought into Georgetown after injuring my back on a trip overseas which left me with the inability to use my right leg. Dr. Mo took a strategic approach to my care taking into account the expectations from my home life (mother of two young kids), seriousness of injury (muscle and nerve) and length of recovery as well as possibility for the most full recovery possible given the extent of my injuries. Great surgeon!
There’s not even enough space to write about how excellent this surgeon and staff is! I had a severe case of Stenosis. I saw Dr Mo for it. He said he could fix it. Had surgery on May 6 and today I feel like a brand new man!! No more back, waist, leg and foot pains. He is a surgeon of his word and I highly recommend anyone who’s having orthopedic problems to see this surgeon. Five stars is not enough. Wish I could give Dr Mo a 10-star rating! You won’t regret seeing him and his wonderful staff!
