DR. Mo recently performed a Laminectomy as well as a Lumbar Spinal Fusion. The recent surgery that I underwent was a redo/fix of that which was performed by DR Drew Pateder on April 27th and April 28th,2020. I cannot say enough good words about DR. I had an L4/L5/S1 Spinal Fusion in December 2019. After a quick recovery and minimal time on pain pills, I have worked my way back to walking up to 3 miles per day within a year. Things couldn't have gone better. I knew Dr. Mo's reputation before surgery because my Neurologist, Dr. Tekrony, recommended him very highly. I am so glad I listened to him. Dr. Mo is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. ?I’ve been to four doctors before I was recommended to him. He was very clear in explaining my condition and the treatment that was needed. He listened and was easy to communicate with. He displayed confidence and that made it easier for me to make a decision to proceed with the surgery. A very personable doctor; unfortunately bedside manner is not as important as the outcome, which was a disaster for me; I was told by several specialists over the last two years that the fusion surgery had failed and my back is as bad as always.
Dr. Mo is a most excellent physician. I have scoliosis and he operated on my in January 2020 with the placement of rods, pinnings, and multi-level fusions. I had had previous surgery for the same condition in 2013 by Dr. William Laureman who also did a great job but has since passed away. Dr. Mo found that some screws had come loose from that previous surgery and that some of my previous fusions needed to be revised. He made these corrections with this latest surgery. Doctor Mo is the best spine Doctor in the world you can to find any one better. He has unlimited experience compassion caring warm and very understanding human being. I have taken both of my daughters to see him after seeing other Doctors in the Metro area no one of them came even close to Doctor Mo diagnoses and treatment plan. Doctor Mo is there to cure people. Excellent care in everyway from the beginning of the case evaluation and consultation, to the actual surgery, and follow-up. My specific surgery was a severe spinal stenosis on L4-L5, S-1 vertebrae. The compressed nerves were beginning to impair the use of my legs. The surgery was performed so well by Dr. Mo that I was able to walk just hours after surgery. Dr. Mo literally saved my life. I was brought into Georgetown after injuring my back on a trip overseas which left me with the inability to use my right leg.
