Dr. Ferkel will put you at ease with his knowledge and confidence. For someone like myself who had no surgeries prior, that was very important.
Dr. Ferkel did a great job on my ankle surgery, was very friendly and took the time to explain everything very well pre-op as well as post-op. I'm very happy with the care I got from him and the team and would definitely recommend.

Dr. Eric Ferkel has been communicative, caring, and extremely competent from the first time I met him, throughout preop and surgery, and during postop and recovery. It is clear from his approach that he really cares, and he really wants to reach the best outcome for me. His excitement to review before and after results belies his enthusiasm towards his craft. Dr. Ferkel is the best orthopedic doctor I have ever gone to. He takes his time explaining everything, comes up with solutions that aren't just bandaids, and really fights for his patients when it comes to insurance. I feel so incredibly lucky to have him as my orthopedic surgeon, and since seeing him is one of the first times in several years where I'm actually feeling optimistic about my future with walking and basic functions that have been hard for me.
Dr. Ferkel and the entire office at SCOI are amazing at explaining what they are going to do and doing so calmly. Everyone is lovely to talk to - I only wish I were coming under happier tidings. My surgery was successful and as soon as I developed a blood clot, they worked extremely quickly to make sure I got immediate care and it didn’t worsen.
Dr Ferkel was awesome. I was very happy that he was my doctor. Top notch care.
