I had two hernia operations. They went really well. Dr. Cione was very professional and superbly knowledgeable about all aspects of my care. The surgery went off without a hitch. I was sore for a few days, then all pain went away. That was about a year ago, and the hernias have permanently gone away.
Dr. Cione is phenomenal! He has great bedside manner with his patients. He takes time to explain the procedure, why you need it, and what to expect. His staff is detailed oriented and they make the entire process seamless.
Both my wife and myself have used Dr. Cione. Consults were quick but complete. The surgeries (one robotic, one not) were both painless and incisions both healed quickly and cleanly. Dr. Cione's bedside manner is efficient, but reassuring. His office maintains very good communication from consult to followup.
Dr. Cione was highly recommended to me by my cardiologist and primary care dr concerning a hernia. I have since had two more hernia repair surgeries performed by Dr. Cione, most recently in January, 2022, so I have become quite familiar with him and his office staff. Dr. Cione did an exceptional job on my inguinal hernia repair. He was thorough, knowledgeable and provided me all if the information I needed both before and after my procedure. I am 4 weeks from the surgery, and I am healing at the exact pace he told me. I feel like this procedure was a great success. He was recommended by my personal physician, who sends all of his patients to Dr. Cione for this and similar procedures. I cant recommend Dr. Cione and his staff enough.
I am so grateful to Dr. Cione and cannot say enough about the process, compassion, and healing he and he and his team showed me. I was in major pain and Dr. Cione wasted no time seeing me and scheduled surgery two days later. Apparently, I was headed for ICU if he had not acted with such urgency. The team was exceptional. My hernia surgery was 100% successful. The care, treatment and instructions from Dr. Cione and his team was excellent.
Wonderful experience. Dr Cione was very friendly and made the effort to sit down with me and explain things to my understanding. I was impressed he was up to date and proficient in each surgical technique including robotic, laparoscopic, and open repairs. Dr. Cione was provided as a referral from a doctor in my neighborhood and who operated on both his daughter and wife. Figured that was a decent first endorsement as a choice after two surgeries that were ultimately successful, but either didn't have great bedside manner (5 min consultation); challenging pre-op billing procedures that were a bit DIY; and my first two surgeries resulted in a little more pain than I expected.
