Had one appointment. Impossible to get another one. Doc and PA were great. Office staff is the problem and a huge one.
I had swelling/pain around my kneecap and stiffness above and below my knee for a couple of months before I finally made an appointment... which I did solely based on Dr. Knesek's previous reviews. I'm so glad I did! After my x-ray, Dr. Knesek took his time to explain the image on the screen, and after examining my knee, he gave his diagnosis and how he was going to treat it...which he began immediately. He was very thorough and patient.. and wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Great Doc!
Dr. Knesek was recommended by two physicians, one from DMC, one from Hurley. He is professionally competent and an excellent communicator, taking time to address your concerns. His PA, colleagues , and staff in both locations all made me feel well cared for. With a total hip arthroplasty behind me he will be my first choice for orthopedic needs in the future.

I HAD REVISION ON MY LEFT KNEE. IT WASN'T THE NORMAL REVISION, BUT DR. KNESEK INSURED ME HE COULD FIX MY PAIN AND THE BOWED LEG, AND HE DID. I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH OUT COME. ALSO, DR. KNESEK IS A KIND AND CARING MAN. HE TRULY CARES ABOUT YOU AND WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT DR. KNESEK AND HIS TEAM.
Dr. Knesek spent a considerable amount of time with me explaining my knee's condition and why pt was necessary. I did not tell him during my initial visit that I was there for a second opinion for an already scheduled knee replacement surgery with another doctor at another hospital. How thankful I am to have avoided unnecessary surgery and to know that Dr. Knesek is not hurried with my questions and concerns.. I put my cane away and went back to working on walking.
Easy to get in contact with. Understands lifestyle issues and that the end result of treatment is quality of life. Never pushed products or procedures. Very knowledgeable but talks layman terms, never down to patient. Honest with his prognosis on recovery and recovery issues.
Dr Knesek is professional, extremely kind and has immeasurable knowledge and skill. He has a terrific bedside manner whether in office or in hospital. We are 100% confident and fortunate to have him care for son twice in the last year and a half. He and his staff make potentially complex, scary situations very simple and comfortable.
Dr Knesek is an amazing surgeon and a warm caring person. I am in the hospital post op day 1 after breaking my leg skiing. I went from pain 9 yesterday to 0 this morning. I have so much gratitude for Dr Knesek and the whole experience here at Huron valley hospital. Highest recommendation from me.
