I was referred by many of my friends who have had shoulder replacement surgery. The initial visit was just remarkable how much time he spent with me and showing me videos on the procedure. Many of which he has developed and designed himself. He is always teaching his residents and fellows who are part of their wonderful team. He always gives me a hug. I truly believe he is one of a kind. My shoulder replacement has gone perfectly.
Our son recently saw and had shoulder stabilization surgery by Dr. Murthi. He had prior surgery by 2 other local doctors that failed and he continued to dislocate. Dr Murthi was able to do a complex surgery where he took a cadaver ankle and reconstructed the socket. He is amazing. My son feels great and is back doing all his sports and mountain climbing. We love him. And he is so friendly.
I was fortunate to have my orthopaedic surgeon refer me to Dr Murthi to have a specialized tendon transfer as my prior rotator cuff had failed. Dr Murthi and his team. (And it is a full team) were wonderful. He trains future shoulder surgeons and residents and medical students. He discussed the entire procedure in detail. He called me the night before the surgery to ask if I had any questions and his team checked on me often after surgery. Do your research. He is the best and handles everyone elses failed surgeries.
Exceptional bedside manner and surgical skill. I had severe double rotator cuff complete tears, and I am now mending well. The office is efficient and well run; The OR staff are all top notch! Thanks Dr. Murthi!!!
What a wonderful doctor and surgeon. I found him thru my friend who had both shoulders replaced. He is extremely smart and actually famous. He teaches around the world and has invented shoulder replacements. I had a reverse shoulder replacement, never took any pain medications and am golfing and swimming 6 weeks later. I love him.
Dr. Murthi is by far the best doctor I have ever had. I had a destroyed shoulder by arthritis. He has replaced it and I'm back playing golf, tennis and swimming. No one else would take on my case. And I didn't take any pain medications after surgery and went home the same day. I am forever grateful. I have my life back.
Dr. Murthi is an excellent physician and surgeon. He has been a consummate professional and has always taken enough time, including calling me to discuss options. He has worked on both of my shoulders, partial replacements on both and a revision to a full replacement on one of them. The change had nothing to do with his original surgery, it was due to continued arthritis. I traveled from western OH to have Dr. Murthi treat me as I have had tremendous experiences with him each time I have seen him. I highly recommend him.
I called Dr Murthi's office with an emergency as I had broken and dislocated my shoulder over the weekend. He was able to see me between his surgeries and schedule me for repair later that week. He is so caring and smart. He kept in touch during the entire recovery. He has a wonderful reputation around the country. I recommend him highly.
Best shoulder doc. Fixed my clavicle fracture and I'm back riding my motorcycle.
