I just finished my therapy after shoulder replacement. I've had both done by Dr. Murthi. I went home the same day. Never took any pain medications. His anesthesia team is wonderful as is Angela his PA. He loves teaching his patients how to do their therapy and recover at home.

Good luck to you if the operation was not successful and you’re still in pain. Yes he did try, which I’m grateful for. However, during the follow- up visit, It would have been more beneficial to say something such as, “I’m not sure what else I can offer at this time, let me direct you to another provider who can possibly help.” It’s one thing if Dr. Murthi would have suggested for me to have come back and seen him after trying xyz, but that was not even an offer. I have heard this from other folks as well about this exact co... read more

I was seen by a junior doctor for all but 5 minutes of my scheduled recent initial appointment with Dr. Murthi. He relies on a junior doctor to do his heavy lifting. I was given an office xray and not referred for an MRI. Dr. Murthi appears to spend the least amount of time with a new patient as possible. I must seek out another doctor. This is not the deli line - whose got the next #. Unacceptable

Wonderful doctor. He spent time with my husband and myself discussing the redo of my rotator cuff surgery. We discussed the rehab and he found me an excellent therapist. The therapists praise him and how much better his results are. Do your research. He is outstanding and is his team.

Best of the best. Dr. Murthi has replaced both of my shoulders using a stemless shoulder replacement technique. I left the hospital the same day and have never taken any pain pills. I'm back playing tennis and golf. He gave me my life back. What a doc and what a team.

This doctor was on call over the weekend a few days after I had knee replacement surgery. I called due to severe nausea. He not only would not address the problem, nor provide a common prescription for the nausea, but after a 1 minute conversation, he told me to take Tylenol and hung up on me. If he is going to be on call, he has an obligation to help patients--this is not what a doctor should be.

Business response:

This patient is very confused as I do not take call. Please disregard this review. Thank you.

I saw Dr. Murthi for shoulder surgery and was so excited after many failed surgeries he was going to fix my shoulder. Had surgery did therapy and wasn’t any better Went back he told me give it time which I did however not any better ! Called to make appointment and was put on hold to my surprise Dr Murthi proceeds to tell me he would not see me and what did I expect with all that damage to my shoulder ! Would not let me schedule an appointment now I still can’t lift my arm above my hip THANKS

Business response:

In our practice we often see irreparable complex damage from previous surgery. Unfortunately sometime despite our best efforts we cannot improve function. We strive to educate these patients and establish proper expectations in these complex revision cases.

He is probably a very skilled surgeon but when I had some problems after my operation, it was impossible to get him on the phone. It took a month for him to call me back.

Dr Murthi is a Great Doctor. Had a very severe shoulder dislocation causing a bad labrum slap tear and severe shoulder impingement. When conservative treatment did not work i researched to meet with Dr Murthi. He was very kind and explained my condition what needed to be done to reduce pain and for me to get back into the gym. I had surgery with Dr Murthi and I will say it was the best decision of my life. I am 2 and half months post open and have little to no pain anymore.
