I recently fractured my clavicle while playing squash. Dr. Murthi's staff knowing this was emergent got me in the next day. While he is extremely busy, he met with me and explained my injury and the options for treatment. He has a very calm, confident demeanor and we trusted him completely. Surgery went great last week. I've taken no medication as he uses a long lasting numbing medicine. I'm on my stationary bike and feel great. I'm sure I will recover 100%. He's great. Find the right doc.
I should of written this review quite some time ago, it's been close to 2 years now since Dr. Murthi repaired my torn tendons to my tricep, over 50% was torn and of course being a guy I waited to long to have it repaired. I am a very active guy at 56 years old that still likes to lift weights. I can't thank Doctor Murthi enough I am at 100% do to his expertise. Thank you, Frank J. Christensen
I fell 6 months ago and injured my shoulder tearing my entire rotator cuff. Other doctors said they couldn't repair the large tear especially arthroscopically. Dr. Murthi repaired the tear and focused his attention on my recovery setting me up with his best therapist. He and his team are outstanding. He teaches around the world and that says a lot.
I am a former Baltimore Police Officer who sustained bilateral shoulder injuries about 18 years ago when a fleeing felon rammed my patrol car at 84 mph. Back then Dr. Murthi was not practicing at Union Memorial otherwise I most certainly would have used his services. comparing the other surgeons to Dr. Murthi is like the baseball analysis. Dr. Murthi would be the captain of the Orioles whilst the other surgeons, there were three prior, were in Single A ball one may have been in AA ball.
I only saw him in the office for maybe 10 minutes and again for 1 minute when he signed my arm before rotator cuff surgery I saw his pa staci after the xray before seeing Dr murthi and only her for the post op I don't like her. She has no personality,is curt and cold, and seems like she couldn't care less about the patient or their comfort or the confidence.
