Don't let that apparently low quote for hernia surgery deter you. Dr Kravitz does that out of the kindness of his big heart. Unlike healthcare corporations and, frankly some doctors, his efficient, professional staff and he make a reasonable profit and provide top shelf treatment to the teeming minions. Dozens of these operations over the decades grant him experience few surgeons can claim. And, oh, did I mention his big heart? Dr. Steve okonsky

Very grateful for the care and basically immediate service Dr Kravitz and his staff scheduled and performed for me earlier this month. The day I called to inquire, they scheduled my surgery for just 10 days later. My hernia resulted from gall bladder surgery 19 years ago - not performed by Dr Kravitz. Dealt with the hernia all this time and allowed it to grow larger every year. My surgery cost $2,500 which now seems like a small price to pay. We had a 4 hour drive to his office and surgery center and we stayed a couple night... read more

I live in Montana. I hopped on a plane Sunday 8/21/16. I met Dr Kravitz Monday. Had my inguinal hernia surgery Tues. and hopped back on the plane for home Wed. 2 hours after surgery I walked to restaurant and coffee shop. I took the pain medication Dr Kravitz prescribed, I did not want to risk being uncomfortable on plane. I stopped taking pain medication after I arrived back home. 8 days after surgery, I hiked for 45minutes, no pain. After careful research. I think DR. Kravitz is the best hernia surgeon.

Receptionist very nice as was a pleasant office environment with tropical fish and television. Dr. Kravitz was very personable and examined my hernia. I was referred to Dr. Kravitz by my family doctor when he discovered the hernia. After Dr. Kravitz examined me I was very surprised when he told me it was a small hernia and if it was him that he would not have it repaired at this time and that I could continue doing things as usual. I accepted his recommendation to do nothing at this time. If I have problems with my hernia in... read more

All the staff and Dr. Kravitz are excellent professionals. I knew I needed to take care of my inguinal hernia but I couldn't afford it. I found Dr. Kravitz's affordable Hernia surgery site on-line and read as much as I could about him and reviews. I decided that it was my best option considering the very high cost of surgery everywhere else (I called many places and got very high unaffordable quotes). I also felt confident that he would do a good job considering how many surgeries he has done! I liked that he's experienced! ... read more

My "hernia holiday" started with working a full day Monday and then catching a 10pm flight out of Kenai, Alaska. Traveling alone, I spent six hours on the ground in Anchorage, Alaska and the caught a 4 hour flight to Seattle and a 3-1/2 hour layover there. Then a 4-1/2 flight to Detroit and an hour layover, and finally arrived in Baltimore after a two hour flight. A 45 minute cab ride got me to the Comfort Inn in Gaithersburg at 1am Wednesday morning! I found the hotel to be clean and quiet...very welcome after the airplane... read more

Despite a few negative comments posted here, the reason they call it "affordable" is because they skip the frills like fresh flowers and a waiting room that looks like an art gallery. The staff and Dr. Kravitz however were first class and very attentive to their patients. I was in and out in 3 hours. I actually don't believe many of the negative comments here.

Had surgery 2 days ago and can't believe how much better I feel already. Staff was great, very friendly. Everything went smoothly and we were on the way home (2 1/2 hr drive) not more than 3 hrs after we got there. Best part, we saved around 5,000 dollars! I would reccommend him to anyone!
