Stayed here for a wedding evening function. Room wasn't great, ran out of water when showering, bedside light didn't work, curtains difficult to draw. Breakfast wasn't good, bacon and sausage were awful, sausage not cooked. For the price it was very very expensive for what it was, wouldn't stay again.

Thank you all so much (especially chef) for all the care & attention every single one of you put in, so that my mum could enjoy a simple, beautiful animal friendly lunch yesterday. The weather was with us & it was a heavenly day. Dower House Hotel just gets better as the years pass & you’ll be excited to hear we’ve pledged that we must come more often!! Once again, thank you so much. There is absolutely nothing more your lovely staff (lovely waitress especially) could have done. 10/10

My wife and I spent a night here very recently. It is not an overstatement to say that the Dower House is excellent. The house is charming and set in lovely grounds. The staff were most attentive and professional. However, the real joy is the food; it is exquisite and very reasonably priced. I recommend this hotel.
