Tried to book a room and was turned away because I only wanted to book for one night. I booked the same day last year 9/22 without an issue. I will never use this hotel again and everyone I know will hear about it.
Recommended: however, be sure to request a room that does not overlook pool during summer months! There were parties directly under our window with music blasting and adults screaming till the evening. Kids/teens were running down the halls at 2:30 am and slamming doors. I went there for a restful getaway but left a day early because I needed a quiet nights sleep. When I left early the front desk didn’t care to ask why. Pool experience was great, almost felt like Vegas! Geez you had to get up to order your food and drink! Evening buffet was amazing as was the morning breakfast. The staff are warm and act like a family. Interesting mix of country club members and hotel guests. The Pub has a nice DJ and pool tables! Lots of games for the kids. Beautiful setting.
Booked room in advanced and when we went to check in they didn’t have it were not apologetic just like oh well you can have this one..... The room we had was so damp the sheets were gross and walking on the carpets were like moss. Was told manager was no where to be found to speak with. Both pools were down for a time, games were broken, and there was no where to find out about hours of services that the hotel had. love it here, very clean and upscale
My boyfriend and I just returned from our overnight. We had a great time. The greatest part of this hotel was the entertainment and activities (except some were cancelled due to the weather). The pool outside was closed but the pool bar is open and there were plenty of lounge chairs. The food we had at The Pub and the pool bar was delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Celebrated my eightieth birthday at the Hotel yesterday. Our party of twenty-three, which included seven children, had a wonderful time. The staff was very attentive...almost anticipating our every need. Everyone was delighted with the food and the ambience. We have 'brunched' there many times & have always been well pleased.. Hence making Doral our choice for this special occasion.
Don’t let the entrance fool you. Stay away. Even at their super low prices this place rips you off. This place need to be torn down and rebuilt. This poorly designed leftover from the 80s has seen better days. Our room had patched up walls, broken bathroom sink,threadbare carpeting and non working draperies. We were there for a wedding and the Friday dinner and Sunday brunch we had there were both terrible.
