We are the ultimate dog lovers vacation in the mountains of North Carolina. We feature luxury dog friendly cabins with hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces with spacious private fenced yards, provided dog beds, bowls, and towels. No obedience requirements, we accept all dogs regardless of temperament, breed or size. Canine Connections offers optional dog training and behavioral consults during your stay. Additional dog care services such as feeding and walks are also available.

RecommendedWe stayed at Tree Frog right after Christmas with our dog Rufus and almost 1 yr old baby. The cabin was spotless. I have never seen a cleaner place, especially not one that allows dogs. With a large fenced in yard, Rufus had a blast. We would throw his ball in the yard for him each morning. The house really felt like a luxury cabin. The updated kitchen and bathrooms were beautiful and had everything we needed for a short stay (coffee maker and coffee, pots and pans, etc.). Awesome place. Spotless. Pet-centered. Nice amenities.
We just spent a week at DWR in the White Squirrel cabin. Words cannot describe the amazing time we and our dogs had. The house was impeccable, fully prepared for the dogs with bowls and dog beds everywhere, amazing accommodations. Nan and Will were great and would send emails daily with recommended activities, restaurants etc. If you like vacationing with your dogs, this place is a must!!
Just finished our second stay at Dogwoods. We loved it...wife wants to buy the cabin! One thing I really like is how quiet it is. Sleeping is absolutely wonderful. When we arrive here it always looks brand new. I don't know how they keep it so clean. Brevard is a great place to visit, there are so many things to do (with your dog). We loved having y'all stay again! Will always works his magic on keeping things looking "new" and immaculate. We love Brevard too, it's such a quaint town with wonderful restaurants, shops and of course all the state and national parks located here. If you're really up for something different, try the pimento grilled cheese sandwich at Rocky's, it's a southern thing.
Can I give more than 5 stars? It's obvious that Nan and Will have put a great deal of thought and love into this place. Everything you could want or need is right there, and the cabins are well designed and comfortable, My lab took one look at the big fluffy dog bed downstairs and pounced right into the middle with absolute glee. Like another reviewer, I may be forced to go dog bed shopping! I'm only sorry we didn't book a dog lesson with Nan, although it does give us a good reason to go back.
