We are the ultimate dog lovers vacation in the mountains of North Carolina. We feature luxury dog friendly cabins with hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces with spacious private fenced yards, provided dog beds, bowls, and towels. No obedience requirements, we accept all dogs regardless of temperament, breed or size. Canine Connections offers optional dog training and behavioral consults during your stay. Additional dog care services such as feeding and walks are also available.

RecommendedMy husband and I were thrilled to find a fenced-in cabin retreat that allowed us to bring our four dogs! We spent several weeks at the Tree Frog cabin this summer and had a relaxing time. The cabin is beautifully built, well-cared for and very comfortable. We had fun hiking the trails in DuPont and Pisgah Forests. Our dog Doc really loved swimming in beautiful and serene Lake Julia in DuPont Forest. Fawn Lake in DuPont is another great spot to take dogs for a swim. Great vacation spot and super dog friendly! Close to wonderful hiking spots, shopping, fun dining - what more could you ask for?! Webster loved it as much as we did - especially pointing at some neighboring cows! Firefly cabin was so nice with everything you could need for humans and pets- so clean and such beautiful views! We’ll definitely go back - one of the most relaxing vacations ever - highly recommend!!

My family stayed at the Firefly cabin the weekend of April 5th. The photographs do not do it justice at all! The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and very spacious! The land is beautiful and such a pleasure to walk around to enjoy nature. The hot tub was definitely an added bonus. After our 11 hour trip to get there our first concern was getting our 2 golden retrievers into the yard for some much needed leg stretching, sniffing and potty time. Our very first, and continued, impression was what a wonderful job had been done to ensure the safety of our pets. From the well placed and secured gates and ramps to the furnished dog beds, bowls and pooper scooper, they really have planned well to help us have a worry free vacation while traveling with our dogs.
