We are the ultimate dog lovers vacation in the mountains of North Carolina. We feature luxury dog friendly cabins with hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces with spacious private fenced yards, provided dog beds, bowls, and towels. No obedience requirements, we accept all dogs regardless of temperament, breed or size. Canine Connections offers optional dog training and behavioral consults during your stay. Additional dog care services such as feeding and walks are also available.

We just got back after spending a week in Tree Frog. What a wonderful week it was. The cabin was so clean and very well appointed. We had the opportunity to meet Will one of the owners, very friendly and helpful. Best part of all was how much fun our girls had while staying here. We will definitely come back hopefully for many years to come!!!
We stayed in the Firefly cabin for a week with our two dogs. It's conveniently located between Dupont Park, Pisgah Forest and downtown Brevard NC. We spent a lot of time in each of these locations. We still had more sites to see and more Mountain Biking to do but you have to go home sometime. My dogs loved the wrap-around deck, the fenced-yard, the soft bark on the ground and the ramp was especially helpful for our little blind dog. Checking out today after 7 weeks in the white squirrel cabin. Best cabin ever! Best owners ever (Will & Nan)! Best helpers ever (Megan - dog sitting & Blanca - housekeeping)! If you have a big dog, a small dog or a bunch of dogs and need a cabin in Brevard, NC, this is it!
This is not only paradise for our four-legged friends, but, also for us, their humans. We always stay at Tree Frog chalet which is a two-story, newly constructed cabin with all of the comforts of home and then some including full-wrap around porch, fenced in yard for the dogs to run around, and a hot tub on the porch for the humans. I was researching dog friendly hotels near Brevard and Pisgah Forest when I came across DogWoods Retreat. Our cabin, the Firefly was perfect! It had everything we wanted in a vacation get away with the dogs. Luxury cabin plus the large secure wrap around porch and extra large fenced in yard for the dogs. Just minutes away from great hiking in the land of waterfalls! Very nice kitchen but since Brevard is only minutes away with so many fabulous places to eat, we decided to dine out every evening. Our 2 cockapoos treated my husband and I to a stay at Dogwood Retreat, White Squirrel. What a great , clean and well equipped cabin. The pups loved the stairs and the spacious fenced yard. Dupont State Forrest provided all of us great hikes and beautiful waterfalls. We also took advantage of a consult with Nan and we are all working on her suggestions to make our evening walks more pleasant. We hope to return, perhaps in the Fall!
