Our Business Goal To educate the general public on the historical geology of the Appalachian Mountains, how they were formed and what can be found here. Doc's Rocks Gem Mine is an Appalachian Mountain based gemstone mining operation. We purchase mine ore by the ton from local gemstone mines located in North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee. I drove up to Docs today with my two little ones and was amazed. The best customer service I have had anywhere, even with my two wild children they were so patient and kind to us! We will definitely be returning! Can’t recommend them enough ♥️
great indoor activity, especially on a rainy day. staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable, music at the location was great. had a blast, will be back again
We went to Doc’s Rock’s yesterday and had so much fun! The staff members were so friendly and super knowledgeable about the stones. I had 2 rubies in my bucket and had no idea what I had found. I had them cut down at their recommendation and today I picked up my stones, one 5.5 carat and the other a 7.75 carat. I had them set as a beautiful necklace and ring. Thank you for a fun, memorable experience with my family and a beautiful souvenir!
So fun and exciting! Great for all ages! The fossil museum is wonderful and full of history. Daniel and Chris were so very helpful! 10/10 recommend!
We took the kids there to do gem mining and they really liked it. Great new place - very cool on the inside. Especially a good activity when it’s raining.
Lots of fun for the whole family! Courteous and knowledgeable staff! We were warned this can be addictive and will definitely be going back for more!
