We used Direction Law to staircase out of our property, it took almost 3 years for the land registry to be updated. Communication between Direction Law and us was awful, nothing until we began to chase them and even then it was very minimal until we sent a complaint to the company. I would not recommend and would avoid this company at all costs. Wish I'd read all these awful reviews before using the company myself.
I wrote a review last year about a wonderful solicitor that worked on my case at the Wells office. However it seems the company has gone through a restructure since then. I am very disappointed with the current service. I have been trying to obtain a quote for staircasing with no success. We used direction law 3 times for conveyancing services through the years. The last time, March 2023, when we purchased our house. As of now, 17 months later, the title deeds have still not been updated. In large part down to Direction Law. Terrible firm, very difficult to deal with post merger. Would strongly advise against using them.
Absolutely shocking, they never filed my land registry documents despite being chased for 2 years so now I cannot sell my home until this has been done. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS I transferred funds to cover service charges, electricity, and energy as part of the completion process. However, these charges were later deemed inaccurate by the housing association, necessitating a refund. For the past seven months, my solicitors and I have diligently pursued the return of these funds, yet they either deflect our inquiries or fail to respond to our emails.
