Direct Buy is trying to revive a failing business model that may have worked 40 years ago, even 15 years ago, but not today. We have been members for over 10 years, and yes we did reap some benefit. But the benefit is only realized if you are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of the membership. Direct Buy has failed us in the following ways: Deceptive Pricing DB states that you're entitled to "manufacturer direct pricing. that is not true. Horrible customer service. I purchased a bed *******) from Direct Buy Calgary, 4 June 2020. After they quoted me and confirmed that bed was available, I ordered. Estimated delivery date 4 July 2020 [or sooner]. Contacted them middle of July, no response. Sent e-mail after e-mail. 16 in total. Always one excuse after the other, passed on from one incapable so-called specialist after the other. Cancelled 4 times. Phoned on Monday 14 Sept, spoke with Mercia. Order has not been cancelled. If anyone is considering getting into a membership with DirectBuy, absolutely do NOT do it. Worst decision I have ever made was to get scammed into a contract with Direct Buy in Colorado. Waste of time and money. Now 10 years later, they are attempting to put me into collections for a dispute that was handled in 2010. At that time, it took me a ridiculous amount of time, money and energy to get out of a contract after they went bankrupt and went out of business in Colorado. I contacted direct buy about an order cancellation. I was asked if I wanted to refuse the shipping, I responded that it would be wonderful. Guess what, few days later I received the item. I will have to pay 20% restocking fee, plus I had to pay $244 to ship it back. I paid $400.31 and will receive a refund of $76.

Literally emailed multiple times minutes after placing an order to cancel. I even called and a rep assured it was cancelled. I then receive an email from another rep saying the order was sent and just to refuse it from fed ex. Ok that would be no problem but fed ex evidently didn’t even take it to the correct address and when the rep sent me the signature that fed ex collected, it wasn’t even my signature. We have been Directbuy members since 2006. Can’t say enough about how much we love our membership. We have furnished our properties and remodeling through Directbuy and have always been given great service. To error is human so a little issue here and there are to be expected anywhere. But our overall experience has been very good. Their prices are very good!

During March, 2018, I was doing a partial kitchen remodel. Amanda R. at DirectBuy was able to help me investigate many products to find the best deals for what I needed. After I purchased the products, the orders were delivered early and in great shape. This was a relief since I was on a time crunch with the contractors' schedules. This was an excellent experience with DirectBuy!

I ordered two chairs in early June. When they were delivered in mid-July, one of them was damaged and returned immediately. It has been TWENTY-TWO weeks since then. Customer service reported that the warehouse was going to fix the chair. Then they said it was lost. Then they said the item was discontinued. I've spoken to a manager who could not possibly have cared less and I am still waiting. They took my money over 6 months ago. Fraud perhaps?

Ordered $67,000 worth of cabinets from them and because we switched contractors they refuse to not only make good on the cabinets that are faulty but will also not send us the missing pieces we need even if we pay for them. The rep Cheryl V****** was extremely rude and kept saying I didn't buy them so they don't owe me anything. Hello??? Do you think my contractor paid for these with his money?
