Completely Satisified – I moved from LA to the Philly-area about a year and a half ago. So of course, I was determined to find a hair salon that would cater to my hair's needs while maintaining its healthiness. Diadem Hair – I have been going to Diadem and the shop overall is very professional... Carol the receptionist is wonderful and the shampoo girls really know how to shampoos. Desi, Angeline are great stylists and knowledgeable about hair. If you are wearing your hair natural, only let Desi or Angeline, and Tiffany press your hair out...the others will burn you. best hair care – I'm not from Philadelphia and I've had to try a couple of different place before I found this gem. My hair has never looked or felt better. I'm a regular with Angeline and she is the sweet attentive and honest (I can't tell you how many places I've been where stylist lie to you about the state of your hair) and this woman can do some hair no matter the texture or length. Diadem is "the glory and lifter of" my Hair! – Diadem is a black women's dream come true! I no longer have to depend on perms or relaxers for hair management and reap the cost of the damage that it causes to my hair in the long-run. I can keep it natural if I want or change it up and get it curled or straight at Diadem w/o relaxers. quality but can be unprofessional – This is not a salon for professional busy women. No respect for your time, the staff whispers to each other about the clients. As mentioned in a few other reviews there is definetiely an age prejudice toward older women. They do great hair, but at the cost of your time. You should not have to wait like a neighborhood salon and pay upscale prices. They do not even offer you water after waiting 4 hours. pleasant atmosphere – The majority of patrons come out this salon looking great. I was not that lucky - my style had an "auntie Em' look from the midwest. I am not sure if it was because I am an older patron - all the staff are between 20 - 30 yrs old and addressed me as 'Ms. O' which made me feel 100 years old ( we are all adults, I am not your school teacher!) Best Salon Ever!!! – I LOVE my Hair Salon! Diadem is not just a service it is an experience. The owner and staff are wonderful. Friendly, down to earth with ability better than in LA, New York, or Atlanta. They are experienced and will make sure your hair is well taken care of. All you have to do is follow the directions and you too can have gorgeous hair!
