Have been eating this candy since I was 5 I M now 48 and live in GA. I was fortunate to have an Aunt send me some a few years ago. Best surprise ever
I am on the other side of the country from the store but when my family from Bakersfield visits they always bring some of the peanut butter chews. I have to say they are probably my favorite candy in existence. My biggest regret is that there is no storefront in Atlanta. When I do have some of these chews the only time that exists is the agonizing time between swallowing my last taffy and unwrapping my next one.
I've been going to Dewar's for over 40 years but moved to AZ 19 years ago. The quality of the ice cream and toppings has only improved! I just took my grandchildren to Dewar's and we all loved it!
Went to Dewars tonight and noticed they had yet another price increase. Left and went down the street to Baskin Robbins where the prices were much cheaper and the service was faster. $7.35 is TOO MUCH MONEY for a chocolate shake.
I love the original store on Eye street, it's old school

My favorite is the George's Special with strawberries. Some great people work there too, Cindy Olivieri and Taneisha Bell.
I was delighted to see a dish of chews on the receptionist's desk at my doctors office in Los Alamitos! I live in Seal Beach but am from Bakersfield. I immediately recognized the wrapper. When I asked the staff member about them she told me they were from Bakersfield and are really famous. I told her "yes, I know them." I made a statement on Facebook about seeing them and how I just couldn't get them out of my mind after that....and to my surprise a friend from Tehachapi read my post, paid a visit and brought me a mixed box!... read more
