I am a self employed hairstylist. I filed for benefits on 3-22-2020. You released a statement on 4-14-2020 that you were the first state to implement the CARES act benefits of $600. Well I have not received anything, no response to my email, and your phones are still turned off. So far all I see is that Delaware has no problem killing small businesses and destroying self employed.

I call everyday. Today I get through at 8:00AM on the dot and am so excited to hear a new recorded message that sounded like I would talk to someone. Instead I am put through several prompts to press other numbers and get automated responses to each one and at the end of the call when none of my questions were answered the automated system disconnected my call without another option to press a stupid button to talk to someone. I know they're overwhelmed right now, but has anyone actually managed to get through to a human there by phone or do they kick every call that gets through to the recording that goes nowhere? All it does is point me to the website, FAQs, and says they have no info on my UI claim, it's being processed, then disconnects. I have a confimation #, a monetary determination, and have two letters from them saying I made a mistake that needs correction before any payments can be made. Has anybody contacted the news journal about this?! This is ridiculous TAX payers are practically begging for money owed to them for no fault of ours luckily I have a healthy savings but everyone out of work does not have that privilege Delaware needs to get it together!!!
