As an Eagle Scout, the removal of a boy from scouting for performing his civic duty is an embarrassment and counter to the teachings of scouting. At 11, he has shown more courage than most of us ever have or will.

When did scouting become an alt right social club? Another scout asking a question about people voting for Obama because of his skin color is acceptable, but difficult questions for the Senator about her stand on issues is not acceptable. You need to get rid of that white supremacist den mother.

I'm disappointed to learn of the lack of leadership being shown by the BSA. A reinstatement and apology are in order AT THE VERY LEAST. Gun violence ends lives and he still deserves an answer.

I don't have a child in the Scouts. I have a daughter who would have done well in their new effort to bring girls into the Scouts. I was a Scout myself when I was younger. The whole organization seems to be in a decline and free fall in recent years. Scount Ames Mayfield deserved better treatment from the grown den leader and clearly the Scouts need to do a better job of managing their leaders.

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted in the way Cub Scout Ames Mayfield was treated by his den leaders I demand that the Boy Scouts of Colorado as well as the headquarter Boy Scouts of America write an apology letter to this young man he did not deserve the treatment that he got from the leaders of the Bloomfield Boy Scout Den group. SHAME on them.
