Shame on Vicki Marble for not being able to properly handle questions from a child, Ames Mayfield. He deserves an apology, praise, & to be reinstated as a Boy Scout. Make it right.
The ejection of Ames Mayfield from his den because he dared to research tough and thoughtful questions to pose to a state senator was an act of moral cowardice. It is unworthy of the history and legacy of the scouts, unworthy of anyone claiming to believe in truth or justice. This decision represents a blight within this once-honorable organization.
Wow... as if the Boy Scouts haven't had enough bad press in recent years. What is your rationale for letting an 11 year old boy get ostracized from his friends and fellow scouts? You guys are a national embarrassment.
When a young man asks an elected official about guns in the hands of domestic abusers, he should be rewarded, not dropped from scouting. Reinstate him, and let all scouts know that asking questions is an important skill for citizens in a democracy.
Reinstate Ames Mayfield. This is ridiculous to do to a child who asked a logical question during a session where the children were supposed to ask questions.
Will never donate to your organization again. You and Vicki Marble should be ashamed. I am disgusted. Clearly, neither your organization or Vicki Marble are good role models for democracy.
