I thought Boy Scouts accepted all peoples all kids? I’m shocked to hear that an intelligent young boy was asked to leave. Get rid of that cub master. Not a good example of an adult
Horrible move by Denver Area Council to ask Ames to leave by engaging in civil discourse with an elected official! As an Eagle Scout, I was tought to do just as Ames did and have been civically engaged since his age because of the encouragement scouting offered to do.
This was retaliation,pure and simple.you didnt like what he said so you kicked him out.the state senator stated he was manipulated for saying what he believed.she should talk,she allows herself to be manipulated simply by selling her vote time and again.what was your excuse?

Shameful leadership of kicking out a Boy Scout for asking a tough question to a republican rep. - who, by the way, responded with a ridiculous notion that if people in Las Vegas had guns, they could have somehow stopped the shooter who was yards away. The other scouts also asked the rep questions about fracking and the border wall. So why was he singled out? Shameful.
You took a group to meet a local representative, and then say that it's the young man who politicized the event with his questions? Come on. If he is the only kid there who thought for himself, you folk are in a bad place. What kind of lesson are you teaching him and all other boy scout?
Ames Mayfield is the kind of youth citizen I would hope the BSA supports: engaged, inquisitive, and intelligent, and holding power to account for its impact on civic life. Shame on the Denver Area Council for allowing him to be expelled from his den.
